Rain in NP today, and it's the sort of hovery stuff that will set in all day. Might get play later on but I think this will be a very abbreviated match at most.

I know, madness.
Well they're already playing four specialist seamers - three of whom have played for New Zealand in the last six months and another who is arguably the most effective bowler on the domestic circuit. I probably would've left Martin out given it was a one dayer but that was never going to happen. Hira could've been dropped but that would've left five specialist seamers. Auckland simply have too many quality bowlers.

Yeah Bates getting dropped in that pace attack is hardly surprising. Auckland can field a pretty quality pace attack.

Hit some boundaries Jeets.

I wonder why he didn't bat more in the T20? The captaincy? He has always been handy as a tailender.

Tie between ND and Otago. Have to say though, despite playing what was on the whole an excellent innings, Kane Williamson won't have done himself any favours with his effort in those last 10 overs.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Haha, tied game, awesome. Williamson in the runs is good to see obviously.

In other news my fantasy side is ****.

Losing five for 26 in just over four overs didn't exactly help either, we had that game in the bag, the middle to lower order just completely fluffed it.

Oh, and I can't believe Auckland dropped Jeet Raval for Tim McIntosh. Raval's actually had a pretty decent start to the one day competition and formed a rather nice partnership with Lou Vincent. Staggering really.

McIntosh had an immense season last year in List As so I thought he'd be coming in, but I'm very surprised Raval was dropped entirely.
