***Official New Zealand Domestic Season 2021/22***

Check out N Kelly b T Van Woerkom. From today. Ford Trophy.

Inside edge? Otherwise that turned square.

So good to see Josh Finnie doing well this season. The kid is quite a talent. Just been all over the place last few seasons. He must have had like 7 years of domestic cricket already. Good to see him bowling as well. He was more of a bowling all rounder early days and now a full time bat with few part time overs. He should be playing red ball cricket, way too early to stick to white ball.

How good is Broomy? Getting better with age. Is he going to be Darren Stevens of NZ?

Probably debut pressure... didn't get to see him bowl gun balls on a conducive turning deck. The last one he bowled to CDG was a good one. Not sure why he didn't attack the stumps much. Bowled a bit too flat and short. The kid will learn. Not sure about that around the wicket tactic either. Was brought in at the right time, when ND were three down and was bowled out by the 12th over.

We'll see fair bit of the kid. Tough initiation with CDG and the impressive Carter well set batting out most balls Ashok bowled. Just hope aces play him though with Delport and chappy around.

Llew Johnson turning out to be a very good player. Should be playing Ford trophy for otago. Looks a very good player.

Unusually there's not much interest in super smash by the rest of you guys this year?

Yes, it'll be a pity if the preferred tech for online chat has moved so fast that there could be no changing of the guard, no new regular posters on CW. This thread may just get quite a bit quieter in the NZ school holidays from now on.

The centralisation of internet platforms is a sad trend, but I don't think it's reversing any time soon.

Yep. Kids TV now reigns in our household in the early evening. And dinner and bedtime take up a significant chunk of the rest.

Tim Robinson is pretty highly rated at Onslow - that four through the covers off Nuttall was the shot of the day. Good rearguard hear with Younghusband.

Also nice to see Coburn a left arm wristspinner bowling well.

Of all the guys Younghusband dropped it. One of the very best fielder in the circuit.

That was a great catch by Allen behind the stumps off Sears. Fletcher is having a good game too, there is serious wicket-keeping depth in NZ at the moment.

Why is Rachin and Blundell not playing? Surely they're out of MIQ by now.
2 weeks right, so probably not, given the 2nd test finished on the 6th, and hence they probably wouldn't have flown back into NZ until the 8th at the earliest.

7 days, then self-iso until your day 9 test returns negative. So still quite tight.

I thought it's 7 days iso now including home iso. Maybe not. Didn't see any of the players that toured India not play any super smash.

What about Jimmy Neesham?

I've had a mate just go through it on his return from Aus. It's as I stated above.

Didn't realise until now that the super smash highlights are available on NZC's youtube, as for some reason they're not linked directly from the scorecard on nzc.nz like they used to be.

Great comeback from ND after Auckland 97/1 off first ten overs.
