***Official*** New Zealand Domestic Season 2015/16

Given Wellington's lack of top order batsmen, I've heard a few whispers of a couple of young/youngish ND Opening Bats moving down those ways soon. But that is not the Wellington style.

Take it to PinkPassion. ****s.

No other domestic threaders need to know about your Carters, Mitchells, or any other ND bat who has beginner's luck, before Blockying, belligerence and intransigence permeates their being.

Interesting the guys that you would think are closest to selection, Brownlie, Rutherford, Munro are all having very average seasons.

It highlights a dilemma for NZ, we don't really have any batting depth at the moment.

Jeez, this is proving to be a bit of a banner year for Kugz. 29 wickets at 24 and 300+ runs at 50. Anyone know the status of his...er...legal issues?

Ah, so it's actually going to trial. Probably not a good sign for him then. Though innocent until proven guilty and all that.

Murdoch should have made to Black caps ages ago... He was in great touch earlier this year. Unfortunately at the wrong side of the age perhaps?

It's a concern given his international batting issues that the best average belongs to Mr Ronchi.

Sample size is so small though - Papps and O'Donnell boosted by one decent score, for example.

Come on. Ravindra was out if his depth at the u19s. He's still just a kid.
Strange as it may sound I predict Ben Sears and Rachin Ravindra to play first class soon. Speaking to one of the Saffie U19 management they thought Ravindra was unbelievable. These lads have massive backing from NZC whether Wellington is looking at them closely or not. The show of confidence in Ravindra was evident when he was made the captain in the last game vs South Africa. They don't go around naming a jsut turned 16 year old as a captain unless they rate him. I'm hoping the lads don't lose their way in the club cricket in Wellington like so many others that have come and gone.

You can see with Auckland and Otago, they are fast tracking their lads from the 19s.

I wouldn't blindly go with the stats, Ben Smith, Worker, Popli, Blundell and W Young are all a good chance. These days we seem to get international ready players unlike in the past. I'm thinking if you pick any of these they should be good to go.
