I used to read the cricket columns in Marathi newspapers as a kid. A particular headline from say 93-94 has remained embedded in my head: "वॉर्नचा धुव्वा सुरूच!". It means Warne's explosive streak continues, from about the time Warney was at his peak. The same can be said about Bumrah everytime he shows up to bowl.

Bumrah is literally a one man army. This series of India vs England feels like Hannibal vs Rome, because you just know if one man falls, it's going to be a slaughter, and that one man is Hannibal Barca/Jasprit Bumrah.

don’t disagree but bad selection is part of this. Kuldeep would have had fun last innings.

and he can actually bat time a bit

Yeah Thakur pointless on a pitch like this, Kuldeep would have contributed similarly with the bat , but more importantly on day 5 he would have been a much bigger threat with the ball.

I'm not even sure I'd have picked Thakur over Reddy tbh.

Injured, If he was here we might have a competitive series rather than an English walkover
I dont think it'll be an English walkover. Indias batting looks promising. But damn are they over dependent on Jasprit. They better pray he holds up or stays in form or else....

He's a champion, and who knows what his final numbers will look like but it's hard not to see him ending up at the very least as one of the top 5 pacers of all-time up in the discussion with Marshall, Hadlee, McGrath, Steyn and Ambrose, or even better.

If he doubles his current wicket haul and ends up with 420 wickets @ a sub 20 average and with his current home & away record he might be vying for the top spot with Marshall.

That said, let's see how his career plays out.
