Good news that all the players returned negative RT PCR tests given the coaches got covid. An extremely small sample but it does look like it contains transmission to some level.

Yeah, not ideal. We dunno if it is the lateral flow test or the RT PCR as well. But they are already isolating and the fact that the players returned negative tests all this while after the coaches tested positive is good news to an extent. Lets hope that holds tomorrow as well. I assume they may push back the test by a day if there is a chance the game can go ahead.

But realistically, it seems the worry is that the players dont want to miss out IPL paydates. So BCCI can enable it by contracting the IPL schedule too. Whether they are willing to do, the lazy bastards, remains to be seen.

Yeah that's what will happen even if all players test negative 'right now'.

The physio had been treating several players. So there's been plenty of exposure.

Players testing positive during the game would lead to abandoned match anyway and big egg on the face of ECB for letting this go ahead when the entire team needs to be in isolation as they are close contacts.
