Fun series. Lacked runs in the last two games, time to move past Pujara and Rahane. Some of the other basics in the field could have been better - general fielding, bowling plans, etc - but you can't win games if you don't score enough runs. We can't make our quicks taller but we can find other batters.

Good result for SA. Uncovered a couple of gems, Elgar is the right man to lead the side. For all their flaws the batting lineup showed itself to be more stable than India's, which is either a positive for SA or a damning indictment on us. Either way, deserved to win this. Bowled and fielded better too.

Kohli's antics continue to grab headlines for the wrong reasons. Surely he can't remain the face of this team. We've got Dravid in the setup, Kohli attacking the broadcasters via the stump mic is a disgrace to the great man's legacy.

Good series to follow. Great temperament by the Saffer batsmen.

India deserved to lose for their batting selections.

Congrats to SA. Clearly the better team across the three games. Looking forward to see KP's batting again, will be much more enjoyable to watch against a different opposition.

Well, I thought India could do it this series. They saw off a better on paper Australian team, albeit on about the best pitches they could have asked for, but in the end they couldn't put it together.
India didn't fight back as much this series as they did in Aus. We scored a lot of runs in the bottom 6 in that series, but over here they were basically absent. Bowling seemed to lack the same patience they had in Aus too, seemed to be hunting for magic balls rather than bowling dry and building pressure.

Little things like Lokesh's spat after getting out as captain, the Bumrah/Jansen tensions, then the meltdown yesterday after Elgar's LBW all showed they were not in the same sort of headspace as they were in Aus. Felt like they expected a win here and didn't react well when SA put up a tougher fight than they anticipated.

Ah well.

Truly disgusting how indias glorious creation of gambhiring has been Co opted and used against us. This ain't fair I tell ya.
it's those ****ing blow ins crowing this side as the best since 00s Australia and @Shri prancing around talking about how we'd smash them in a session that cost us tbh

Lose the optimism and be humble you pricks. You're undoing all the hardwork the rest of us put in over the last 5 years to get us to this point.
