Bloke has always been great. Not sure how he hasn't ended up at a really top side tbh. Has been consistently excellent wherever he has played. No coincidence that Southampton's downturn correlates with him leaving them.

Stale has been the perfect word to describe Real Madrid for years. Ronaldo turning on God mode for Champions League knockout games has papered over an awful lot of cracks.
Their lack of really big signings in recent years has been mystifying, 10-15 years ago they would have stopped at nothing to make Mbappe a Real Madrid player, for example.

Having referees in their pocket has helped. There's been so many bad decisions in knockout games over the years that have coincidentally almost all gone their way.
You could see it last night with the VAR review for the 3rd goal, the assistant was desperate to find anything to justify disallowing the goal.

Trying to save face by pretending to be injured. He was played out of position, but ****ing hell he was so bad. He's one of those players that the internet have hyped up way to much over the years, just a gaffe machine. Smalling for all his flaws is actually a better defender.
PSG clearly superior side so should still come through easily enough, but what a sloppy performance so far.
