*Official* England in NZ 2023

Only way to turn around things now for Bracewell is if he can pick 3 wickets from now and win the test match. For a starter maybe get Root and then Stokes. He can happily play for another year or so in test cricket and retire.

Stead/Larsen mode "He bowled beautifully today, Root got lucky and he beat Stokes bat 3 times. Beasty picks the best of the batsmen like Azam, Root and Stokes. Well worth keeping him in the side till he calls it a time. Besides he has the dynasty and genes of Bracewell. He is bound to do well. Been very unlucky with the bat so far. His best is yet to come."

Irrespective he will play the next two test matches vs SL at least so better off back him and hope he comes all right.
He’s just not up to it, never was, and should never have been selected in the first place.

Stokes and hitting the ball to fielders on the full during his ‘heroic’ and ‘match winning’ innings, something something better duo

This is total garbage from Bracewell. Had a real chance with the ball here to make a contribution and he's just been cannon-fodder. Barely made a one-legged Stokes play for several overs and just bowling so many hit-me balls to Root.

Someone should start a "battle of the net negative contributions in a Test match" thread, this would be a serious competitor from Bracewell

Sad to see such mighty efforts from Blundell over the last 5 tests against England be utterly squandered by the sub-par performances of other players in the team, and moreover by the coach and selectors. Must be one of the best efforts ever by an NZ keeper: 5 matches, 650 runs, average 72.22

England coasting now. Moronic selections, moronic batting and Michael Bracewell have cost us this match.

Give Kane a bowl. Bracewell's ****.

In this game, or his previous test as 4th bowler? (7-0-54-1, 15.2-0-109-1, 13 and 9 with the bat).

As bad as Nicholls has been for the last 2-3 years, our batting can carry him 70% of the time. Our inability to take 20 wickets is the biggest problem.
