*Official* England in Netherlands (ODIs)

Morgan did drop Malan for not running a bye once, right? Malan doesn't make it easy to like him sometimes. Playing out a maiden to get a red inker, jeez......

So, Sielaar has retired after the first match thrashing. He would have known about the back injury at start of series since it has been chronic for him. Not sure why he decided to retire in the middle.

A near full strength England against a weakened associates team is as pointless as it can get.
England missing Bairstow Root Stokes Woakes Archer Wood that's 6 players missing ;)

Then we played a completely different XI bar stokes last summer and still beat Pakistan 3-0. Ridiculous strength in depth.

I'm not sure how Morgan can stay as captain for next year's world cup.

Can't leave out one of Stokes or Livingstone in that middle order. Not sure Livingstone is good enough as second spinner option assuming Moeen and Rashid are still performing by then.

All Australians fondly recall the England side led by the late Peter Roebuck which traveled to the Netherlands at the end of the 1989 Ashes and lost.

Well I for one am very happy that the new world record is against a credible opposition.......our previous record always felt a bit hollow tbh

Couldn't have happened to a nicer bloke. After losing the first match, Roebuck's side did hand out a real thrashing in the second one. Is one allowed to suggest that said thrashing was an in keeping with his subsequent endeavours in southern Africa?

Englands ODI player depth atm is insane, no doubt a parallel can't be drawn.
Leaving out Stokes can't be an option, surely he's just about the 1st player chosen.
Morgan can't exactly be brimming with confidence, don't recall him doing much the last couple of years, and now with twin ducks
against the mighty Netherlands, this must just about be an all time low.
While he's been great for England over the years, unless he starts getting some serious runs, can't see him retaining his spot.

Shame that the Netherlands collapsed from 200/3 in the 40th over (looking good for 280+) to 240/9. Hope they can at least bat out their overs and pass 250.

Ominous signs for English fans. If the Netherlands are making 250+ against them their bowling attack is in real trouble. Worrying signs indeed.
