Cricket Web 'A' vs Trinidad and Tobago - Guaracara Park
Day 1 - Corrin spins Webbers ahead
Trinidad and Tobago collapsed from a strong position of 113-2 to 163 all out, and Cricket Web 'A' dominated the opening day of their Guaracara Park fixture. The dramatic loss of 8 for 50 was triggered by Webber captain Martyn Corrin, who continued his brilliant series with the ball with another 5-wicket haul. Attempting to get in form ahead of a second cap for West Indies 'A', teenaged opener Adrian Barath looked in decent form for his 36, but when he was caught at slip off Corrin, T&T started to slide.
Darren Bravo stuck around and went close to a half-century until he was the penultimate wicket of the innings. Bosco Fitzsimmons had suffered a minor injury to his index finger, hit there by Mohammad Amir while 'keeping, so Stephen Young took over behind the stumps. The makeshift gloveman pulled off a smart stumping to send Bravo back for 48. And minutes later Corrin closed off the innings and achieved his personal milestone - 5 for 32.
Despite his injury, and to the surprise of many, Fitzsimmons arrived at the crease with Nick Scott for the Webber response. He struggled initially to get the measure of Mervyn Dillon, but soon cast aside his injury concerns and stepped into stride. Into the evening session the local attack looked increasingly ineffective on an evidently flat pitch. Both opening batsmen raised half-centuries in a partnership of 152 for the first wicket. At that score Fitzsimmons was outdone by Dave Mohammed and lbw for 62. But Scott batted on to an attractive hundred to do his confidence no harm. A ball after his celebration he was dismissed by Dillon for a flat 100, and left nightwatchman Tarick Weber to ensure no further loss, as CW 'A' remained well in control on 205-2 at stumps.

Day 2 - Runs flow and wickets tumble on second day
Cricket Web 'A' closed in on victory over Trinidad and Tobago on a day that saw 15 wickets fall. The tourists resumed on 205-2 and scored with freedom for the most part through the remainder of their innings. Poor fielding and bowling were symptomatic of the Trinidadian display and the talented Webber middle order was only too keen to take advantage. T&T started well enough with the removal of both overnight batsmen without much addition to their scores, but Rob Dauth and Sam Morris came together looked in top form with much to prove.
The former, discarded from senior service, hit 11 crisp fours and a six in an innings of 88. He was furious with himself when he chipped a simple catch back to bowler Richard Kelly, 12 short of a priceless first-class hundred. Morris, much less experienced, was similarly impressive throughout his innings, but he could not push on to a century either. Dillon continued as the best of the pacers on show, if only marginally, and trapped the young batsman lbw for 81. From that point of 402-6, CW 'A' looked likely to lose their way and fall short of 500. But Blake Donald addressed a minor collapse with a fiery half-century. When he picked out Kelly in the deep, CW 'A' were all out for 523.
T&T trailed by an enormous margin of 360 and lost Barath (6) to the pace of Amir shortly after tea. Despite the early loss, William Perkins played a one-day style innings to lead the road to recovery. But buoyed by his own batting exploits, Donald looked a man possessed with the ball. He tore through the middle order to take 4 wickets for 1 run at the start of his spell. The batting order was wrecked and primed for the return of Amir. He snatched two wickets to leave T&T 7 down at the close.

Day 3 - Early finish at Guaracara Park
Blake Donald and Mohammad Amir needed less than 4 overs to finish off the Trinidad and Tobago tail on the third morning. Donald took two wickets in two balls to start the day, including last batting hope, allround Richard Kelly (27). He failed to get a hattrick, but Amir dismissed Dillon with little more damage. When all was said and done, the two contrasting bowlers had shared all 10 wickets and Cricket Web 'A' won by an innings and 226 runs.
