Really hope this is a precursor for the type of form we can expect from Darshy all summer long.

Too much to hope for?

if he can't bat/field for 20 overs then t20 is the least of his worries though
well i don't really know enough about his back problems, but I wouldn't have thought smashing a million balls to the boundary in quick succession would be that beneficial to his recovery. I guess it does show he has progressed nicely though.

When Tait isn't playing for your team it's easy to revel when he gets smashed.

Darsh agonisingly short there, but did the job.

Should've hit a 2, then blasted the 6 TBH. Must suck to be stranded on 99* when the target goes by.

Yes I have too.

It's not just the IPL which has a poor standard it seems.

The Renegades were disgustingly bad today though. Beyond the previous poor standard.

Managed to catch the entire game. Good luck as my work lunch finished at approximately 6:30 and was located in Docklands.

Another very enjoyable match. 13k crowd may seem disappointing, however the atmosphere was far superior to the Stars match (with the exception of the Shane Warne hero worshiping). Etihad is such a great viewing stadium and you get the feeling of being close to the action.

Renegades did little wrong with the bat. Docile pitch coupled with some very short boundaries (why the organisers felt the need to rope the short straight boundaries by twenty metres is anyones guess) enabled Finch and the rest of the lineup to free the arms. Hogg and Beer the only two bowlers with respectable figures, however it was hardly a night for aggressive spin bowling with both ex-international bowlers spearing the ball in.

The Scorchers were flawless in approaching a very stiff target. Again, the fielding was diabolical from both sides (Buchanan parrying the ball over the rope for six, and Katich dropping a sitter at cover some of the worst imaginable). Razzaq was a joke with the ball, I'm not sure what Foxsports showed on the gun, however he looked to be bowling 110 kmh, and just placing the ball on a length. Tait is fast becoming the laughing stock of domestic cricket. He must be kidding if he expects to maintain a career as a specialist Twenty20 bowler. Bowled with no rhythm and was treated with no respect by Shaun Marsh.

Will be interesting to find out what the players think of the Etihad surface to play cricket on, it's never been all that great.

Reckon it makes a big difference only having one pitch in the middle too, rather than a whole square, to how quick the outfield is. Don't get any help hitting it into a soft grass rather than a hard turf area.
