Inspired mid-season signing.
I was hoping more of this stuff would happen during the BBL - fringe players without state contracts showcasing their talent - but if anything it's just shown up the gulf between them and the contracted blokes most of the time which has been disappointing. Simmons was a hot Under 19 talent so it's good to see it finally on show in pro cricket.
