Wonder if @Gob and co will admit they were wrong about Marnus or carry on insisting he was the best option

Or maybe it will have to wait until after Inglis averages 40+ over the next 12 months
In the long run, Inglis will average slightly over 20. He may cash in on here but will absolutely be hopeless against any team with a decent pace attack batting in the top 4. Looks like Green will continue to bat at 3 aswell. Talking about shooting yourself on the foot

If it's good enough for Head to open when it suits his game then maybe it's time to bat him where the team needs him the most. Radical I know, but just until Smith is back.

1. Khawaja
2. Konstas
3. Head
4. Green
5. Inglis
6. Webster

Note: Head has averaged 33.27 at #5 over last 2 years so he shouldn't be a lock at #5 imo
That looks more balancec

The bowlers may have a 5-0 in them, but do the batsmen? The fact Smith playing against the Windies in a splint is even being considered is pretty damning evidence of the options available (or lack of).
It doesn’t matter. You haven’t got the bowlers to take 20 wickets against our blokes at home. It’s done.

I mean look at the dross England is dishing up at home to India now. There’ll barely be an innings where Australia isn’t declaring at five or six for a zillion. Stick a fork in it.

Cam Green makes 4 and 0 yet keeps his place at 3. Marnus makes 18 and 22 but gets dropped. How does that work?
