Oh god, we’re getting closer to noted Tory boot-licker Josh Inglis in the test side aren’t we
Would rather Pierson

Carey’s got to go after that: simply not good enough with Inglis in the wings (and Pierson but they’re not going to pick the best gloveman).
Inglis is not much better than part timer standard with the gloves and a massive downgrade from Carey

Australia needs a lead of at least 100 for this game not to be 50/50 as you can’t rely on our batting in the 4th innings
Well considering we only scored 162 in the first innings this lead is already becoming a problem, if it gets to 100 or more then we are in real trouble.

Starc finding it surprisingly easy to play low-140s bowling from Sears. Old ball doesn't help, but Sears pretty gunbarrel straight atm.

Southee’s really gone downhill since taking over the captaincy. 31 wickets @36.77 in 12 games. Henry meanwhile has 38 scalps at 22.23 but from 4 less games. GP is 5th highest wicket taker in that time with 17 @ 15.64. Macewell is third highest

Well GP has been involved in just 6 of those tests - including this one in progress - so if the analysis was tightened up to the period since GP came back into the side it would probably show him as surpassing Southee in wicket taking ability.

They made wags retire for less than that

We've been very lackadaisical since the Carey wicket. This partnership has got to 30 odd while barely breaking a sweat.

OMG Phillips you hero
