He impressed alot of people in the tour match played prior to the first test in Australia, and going by his record appears to have taken FC cricket by storm.

I certainly think theres potential there based on the couple of occasions I've seen him bowl, seems to posses generally pretty good control and he is capable of swinging the ball aswell.
He hasn't really got a truckload of pace but that shouldn't neccesarilly hold him back.

Is his first class record that good because he's had easy wickets at provincial level, or is he genuinenly that good?

Only exposure to him has been in the 5th ODI vs Australia, and I liked what I saw.

His record when you exclude Eastern Province: 99 wickets @ 22.02. Still fairly decent.

He didn't get where he is today without getting over some verbals from langers and his mates.

Jammer, maar ons kan hier nie Afrikaans praat nie, miskien in die testing forum?

Agreed, I would perhaps have him ahead of Louw in the one day game, he's worth a T20 game at the very least, but our fast bowling reserves in the longer game mean he should still be way below the likes of Nel, Ntini etc. If he doesn't get any variation he will get panned

The whole English posts only thing sucks, but with the lack of SA fans on the forum it is always nice to converse in Afrikaans from time to time even though it is my tweede taal, but from a moderating point of view it is impossible to moderate, so it's understandable why they ban it
