Lions tour 2025

I read somewhere and haven't looked into it deeply that the Wallabies are ditching the 'only select from players who play SR unless 30 test caps' rule and opening it up - if this is the case, it'll actually make a huge difference, keeping guys like Skelton, Tupou, Ikitau, Hooper available for internationals (and actually picking them) the next 2 years could make a genuine difference leading into 2027 RWC - we still need to find a better than average #10 though - maybe it is Lynagh (doubt), but suspect his size is going to lend himself to being the target of hits like the one Sheehan delivered last night - which he has now been cited for.

I have hopes for The Rugby Championship and Bledisloe, I have doubts as well, but I guess I'm happy we didn't eat a 3-0 drubbing like everyone (myself included) expected. Seems a corner has been turned, now the question is what trailers are following the small truck that has turned that corner.

Rules have changed over the years

According to the chairman, number of overseas players now more important than the number of caps

Going for the upset here and saying the Wallys will get it together in one of the tests. Lions though comfortably enough still win the series 2-1.
Hard to see them losing any of the three remaining lead up matches though. Maybe the Brumbies will push them but the Lions should be too strong.
BINGO x 2
Would have been so much better if the series was still alive going into the 3rd test though.
