Dhoni at 4 is less bad than Dhoni at 5. I would have Jadhav instead of Vijay Shankar. Shami over Chahal.

Rohit, Dhawan, Rahul
Kohli, Jadhav, Shankar, Pandya
Dhoni, Pant
Chahal, Kuldeep
Shami, Bhuvneshwar, Bumrah, Umesh

That's my 15. I know Umesh is probably not best for the format but we do need 4th pacer. Anyone better?

Not saying he should be a part of your 15, but Jadeja seems to be pretty much a lock.

Surely India's best XI is...

Rohit
Dhawan
Kohli
Pant
Dhoni (wk)
Kedhar
Hardik
Kuldeep
Bhuvneshwar
Bumrah
Chahal

How much is India going to regret not selecting Pant?
Its still a really strong side so will go close, but they are lacking a Buttler type batsman who on a road can smash them to a big score. Pandya is going to need a really big world cup to compensate for the lack of late order power I think.

Kohli, Dhoni, Jadhav, Pant, Pandya in that order would've made a great middle order. We don't have Pant and Dhoni will bat #5 or #6. Going to screw us a few times.

Dhoni has been in very good form this IPL. Hopefully, he carries it to the WC.
