That's right - completely forgot he moved states.

He hasn't been that bad (statistically at least) this summer - 2/38 (9) & 4/29 (9) vs QLD; 3/27 (12) & 2/30 (13) against the only team that matters; 1/71 (21) vs WA; and 2/72 (19) & 2/50 (12) vs the ACT.

16 wickets @ 19.81, ER 3.34.

Wouldn't call that 'hammered' tbh. That's pretty decent.

True, good spot. Must've been last season where he copped a hammering. Would be putting pressure on Fekete I guess but I still think he just bowls too many loose balls to be a good Shield bowler right now, from what I've seen anyway.

Zimbabwe to get Shingi and Waller into the side in place of the two 'leggies' IMO. Maruma and whoever the other bloke was are a waste of space.

Maruma barely bowls at all anymore and is selected as a specialist batsman despite having an absolutely atrocious record. He played a Test an opener not that long ago; it's complete madness.

If the Netherlands don't win this, there'll be a few questions asked as to why Seelar only bowled 2 overs.

To be honest the last two nights have been more frustrating to watch than fun. I understand associate nations aren't going to be perfect at the game, but Hong Kong and Netherlands lost because of simple fundamental errors. Horrible fielding from HK and just baffling strategy up front and at the end from Netherlands. Not great viewing.

Haha yeah I tend to agree. The skill level on display from the associates has risen exponentially but it just makes that sort of poor out-cricket even more frustrating really. If you've developed your cricket to a point where you're producing players full members would love to have then it can't be that hard to take simple catches or bowl your best bowlers for more than two overs.

Was the HK game played at night? I'm guessing how used are these players at playing under floodlights.

By the way,

Peter Borren: "I thought we were probably 20 short."

I know it's just PR, but this must be one of the most abused cliches whenever a side has a bad innings. ODIs or T20s, it's always 20 runs. Amusing.

Need to build up some NRR here. Would be so annoying winning the first two games and still having to beat Netherlands in the third game to go through.

They're probably used to bright lights, hailing from Hong Kong and all that..

Could be a nerve-wracker. We've got a really solid record against Netherlands but it wasn't a good toss to lose.
