I know, yet I somehow hugely overrate him...... Tbf I have some names above which just weren't rated. VvDB, Procter, Spofforth, Lohmann, Turner, King, Richardson; and a few I feel are too underrated like Tate, Mahmood, Johnston and Pollock.

Kapil is not an okay lower order bat. He is a top tier ATG lower order bat. If you want to compare him to specialist bats, fine. He comes up short. He isn't a specialist bat though. Judge him on the terms he actually played on.

Yeah I regard Imran as a no 6/7 and Kapil as a 7/8. He probably is the best 7/8 in tests I can think of. Certainly better than Pollock.
