Disappointed Hayden didn't declare there and set up a match. Bit of a dead pitch by the looks. Good return for Noffke.

My team is the Queen of draws (with SZI being the kings) thats our fourth this season, batting is immense but our bowlers just arent getting teams out.

Tahir breaks record and inflicts first defeat on Auckland

Not for a long time have 2 individual players had such an impact on one game of cricket. Day 1 went to script with Warwickshire building a solid foundation only to be set back by Andre Adam's first spell. They then set about rebuilding through Nigel Adam and Ichi Ban Jeffrey. After reaching 5-270 however Andre Adams once again came back to pick up the final 4 wickets and put the game back in the balance with Warwickshire all out for 325.

One would've thought Adams's spell would've shifted the momentum and mindset of the Warwickshire players. It may have for 10 of them, but not Nudeman Tahir. From the start he swung the ball both ways and had the batsman in all sorts. It was a joy to behold as he single handedly reduced an unbeaten Auckland side to 9-71. Unfortunately Tahir was unable to take the ultimate with a 10 fa as Kirtley snapped up Auckland's only form of resistance Andre Adams for 46, who battled late with Shane Bond to take the score to 134. However the damage had already been done by Tahir who finished with 9-49 and the follow-on was immediately enforced.

It looked like the previously invincible Auckland was about to crash out embaressingly to an innings defeat as Tahir and Kirtley got amongst the wickets again to reduce Auckland to 5-157. Once again however enter "that man" Adams. Who ducked and weaved and gave his side a glimmer of hope after sprinting his way to 115 and the total up to 359.

The target was 171 and Auckland on the back of Adams' effort had their tails up. Some solid resistance though from the Warwickshire top order saw them reach the target 5 down. There were some nervous moments when two quick wickets saw them reduced to 2-49 however Adams couldn't complete the fairytail and ultimately the match belonged to Nudeman Tahir.

"He has shown signs this year of being capable but to be honest I can't tell you what inspired that performance. It was one of those spells that was great and every edge went to hand and every miss hit the stumps".

The win leaves Warwickshire firmly entrenched in the top half of the table in 3rd place with 56 points. They'll need a strong second half however as Auckland is still a long way out in front and the Titans are showing no signs of letting up. However it's been a positive start for Markus in the extended version of the game with his side now 2 from 2.
