Tough day for Worcestershire. But its looking like a great game vs Warwickshire

Caught most of it on the stream was enjoyable. Good to see Jason Holder bowling but clearly not fit

Four of Steel's wickets were 8-11 tbf but yeah when all bar one of the wickets fall to spin in the first innings then it's probably a turner.
or rubbish batting, spell bound. Lancs 4-7 are Balderson, Bruce, Hurst and Hartley must be one of the weakest middle orders.

Hartley needs to turn up tomorrow, otherwise even England may wonder why they did not play Lawrence as their spinner in India.

Sam Cook gets a hat-trick for Essex to restrict Notts lead to 40 all out for 293

When they were 259/4 not that long ago.
Something odd in the reports of the Notts/Essex match that Khushi had a bat that was over regulation size. Anyone know what likely penalty might result from that? Not one I've come across before.

Bear in mind that Hartley will be bowling to a much better batting line-up than Lawrence did. The Lancs top 3 is decent but the Surrey top 6 is scary at county level.

There was a case a couple of years ago and the county concerned was docked points.

Kushi was playing in western Melbourne this off season, wonder if he was using illegal bats here.

It must be virtually unheard of in the first innings of the English season. Since the wickets have been covered, anyway.

But the weather forecast for today and tomorrow suggests it will all be in vain.

I know the schedule doesn't really allow it but when it gets like this you really think the match should just be played another time.
Weather been fine as well. Was glorious yesterday afternoon.

Just the rain we had last week made the pitch unplayable. Not helped by further rain overnight each day.

Had sun and sleet in the last 5 mins. Got to love the UK weather.

Wonder if Yorkshire might regret letting Ben Mike return to Leicester:

( 90 runs from 113 balls and 2 wickets so far)
