Farhan Ahmed 9 matches 34 wickets at 26.00 and econ rate 2.87. His wickets including 3 Sri Lankan test batsman on debut and a 10fer against the CC Champions.

He's got 4 matches 9 wickets at 31.77 and an econ rate of 2.74 this season

Now maybe we rushed all of the four previous guys in too fast. So perhaps we should be cautious doing the same to a far younger cricketer in Farhan. But his performances so far look like he's mature beyond his years.

Sadly, I really wouldn't trust the current set up not to **** him up, too.

Unfortunately Farhan doesn’t have a ‘gimmick’ about him, he's just a very good, human-sized off-spinner who can’t really bat, will he be in the picture in the short term? Might not be the worst thing to have him plugging away in county cricket for thr time being though

Rehan hasn't really shown it at Test level yet, but based on his county exploits he could be England's all-rounder one day, it's a shame he didn't play in New Zealand as a Test XI with him or Carse at number 11 would have been hilarious

I would pick Rehan ahead of Shoaib any day of the week. Both are likely to be inconsistent but the greater turn from the leggie and the batting male him a far more interesting prospect. But if we've four bowlers only, we don't have the luxury to carry anyone. Not sure Rehan is a number seven yet.

England have played Rashid at 11 in a few tests and that's equivalent to playing Rehan at 11.

He did score 90 for the U19s in South Africa mind. So clearly not a complete clown with the bat.

If he could bat as well as he bowls already at barely 17, then we'd be looking at potentially the greatest spinning all rounder ever.

Leach could barely bat till lots of practice in the England setup. Bashir is a huge bunny, even though his 44* was a cracking knock for Somerset batting with Rew.

I do think give him the whole summer before even talking about him for England.

But if he goes at the rate he's going he becomes a hard person to ignore. Especially when his contenders below the age of 30 aren't doing anything of note with the ball.

Saif Zaib is averaging 60 with the bat and 8 with the ball this season. Probably not in contention as he's seen as a batter who bowls rather than a first-line spin option.

Well didn't do Mo any harm.

But Mo was likely better in both departments than Zaib.

Didn't realise he was going as well as that.
Always been a good white ball player so good to see him improving his red ball game, we need as many options banging on the door as possible.

Should play leach instead of Bash, just in case england need a match saving innings by a nighty, plus hes
a better bowler and fielder. Our batters are as usual short of FC batting except for Pope and creepy.
