Moooo
Bowlers going for a LOT in a couple of overs.
I daresay that even with Lewis in the team, this total is safe.
This is some memory. The origin story of an ODI legend!Manoj Prabhakar got hit for 40 odd in 2 overs in what proved to be his last international appearance. That was also my introduction to Jayasuriya (and Kaluwitharana)
Yup in hindsight it was a defining moment in ODI cricket. Jayasuriya and Kaluwitharana had had one good series in Australia but the world didn't really know about their destructive ability (particularly Jayasuriya, obv). This was their 'announcing to the world' moment. As a cricket fan, I remember being dumbfounded by that assault because that's not how cricket was played! This is some memory. Made a well compiled 7 (37) too I seeYup in hindsight it was a defining moment in ODI cricket. PS. this was in 1996 world cup. Here's the scorecard: https://www.espncricinfo.com/series...-vs-sri-lanka-24th-match-65179/full-scorecard
lol. For me, the confusing part was why was he bowling offspin in his second spell. Anyone can have a bad day but why the **** would you not back yourself to do better in your main skill.Made a well compiled 7 (37) too I see
He may have been asked to bowl spin by captain.lol. For me, the confusing part was why was he bowling offspin in his second spell. Anyone can have a bad day but why the **** would you not back yourself to do better in your main skill.
