How many runs do you make with a better diet?
Surely you're being deliberately facetious with this point? It's not hard to see how diet can improve fitness/general conditioning. It's even less hard to see how this might have something to do with increased performance.

Probably wouldn't be such a bad thing as it was set up for a flame in the 1st place. Btw ruckus you're in the credits on this one too.

Of course diet can improve fitness and general conditioning but we are talking about Cricket and I'm specifically talking about Test Cricket where the ability to be just that little bit fitter doesn't help anywhere near as much as it does it other sports where the aim of the sport is to be faster and fitter and stronger.

Post random graphs, say they prove your point, call other people wankers because they call you out on it. Best MO ever.

And being faster, fitter and stronger would not help cricketers whatsoever?

How many runs do you make with a better diet? Do batting helmets give batsman special super ability? What mental advances have occurred to make batsman play less get out of shots?

I know ground fielding has improved and bowlers bat better these days due to professionalism, but the basic fundamentals, nope.
Obviously better diet and conditioning leads to more runs (unless you're touring India, in which case a good diet can help prevent runs). It's when you're tired physically that mistakes creep in mentally to your game, which is particularly relevant in a sport where an opening batsman can be facing the last over of the day having been out in the field for 6 hours.

As for the helmets? Bowlers like Lillee and Thomson lose their ability to physically intimidate the batsman with short pitched stuff. Sure it might make you uncomfortable, but misjudging one and copping a ball to the head isn't going to kill you with a helmet. Don't you think that makes a huge difference in how a batsman approaches his innings?

Posting exclusively snide comments and acting like a total ****wit, hey that's a pretty good one too.

If that's the case then why don't we see any fat fast bowlers?
