There are two types of doosras. First one is realeased from back of the hand facing the batsman. This ball will spin away from RHB. But very difficult to ball without chuking. The other method is to keep the back of the hand facing away from your bowling side ear (for a off break it faces mid on and for s SLA, mid off) and spin the ball over the top of the seam. (seam position is like ||, for an off break its //, the doosra of first type it's \\). This one needs lot of revs to be effective however. Ball will bounce, and go straight. If it hits the seam it will deviate a bit in or out. If you have a nice loop and drift, the ball will keep going away and away from the bat. Then you have to bowl this closer to the stumps, and the angle will accentuate the effect.
