I'm not even saying it, Murali (and Cronje indirectly) did.You keep saying this but his actual dismissals to Murali don't match that at all

The Great Off Spinner Shane Warne, agreed.Warne
Pre 1998? Yeah that's wraps.Murali ofc
Lol sorry was in a rushThe Great Off Spinner Shane Warne, agreed.
What did they specifically say?I'm not even saying it, Murali (and Cronje indirectly) did.
he didn't seem to think Sachin was comfortable against itWhat did they specifically say?
I'm not sure what an offside weakness to Murali means if he isn't getting out to it.
How the heck does Waugh have the worst chances. The guy was built for survival situations like this.Viv and Tendulkar have the best chances while ABD and Waugh have the worst chances.
not a fantastic player of spin in my opinion. How the heck does Waugh have the worst chances. The guy was built for survival situations like this.
Nah you completely misread Murali (no pun intended).he didn't seem to think Sachin was comfortable against it
"I felt in my career, Sachin had a small weakness against off-spin. With leg-spin, he smashes but off-spin somehow he had the difficulty because I got him out so many times. And lots of off-spinners also got him so many times, I have seen it,"
"I don't know, I never spoke to him regarding this, that why 'you aren't comfortable with off-spin.' I felt in my mind he had a little bit of weakness that's why I got a little bit of advantage compared to other players. Sachin is a difficult player, it's very hard to get him out."
Cronje, I think Donald said the tactic Cronje deployed with Sachin was pitching the ball a bit off of the offstump and then cutting it in and that admittedly was difficult.
Ok that's fair. But did fairly well at home against Warne.not a fantastic player of spin in my opinion.
So his natural game does have issues with Murali?Nah you completely misread Murali (no pun intended).
I saw them and it wasn't that Sachin was weak against Murali, it was that he simply found him awkward to attack like Lara did Kumble.
Because Murali spinned it so much in, he didn't like playing against the spin and because of his variations he could often miscue across the line with his strokes. Hence most of his dismissals are him playing attacking strokes and failing. If he needed to block he could (as could Lara when he saved a game against Kumble in 2005).
when did Steve Waugh play Shane Warne at home...Ok that's fair. But did fairly well at home against Warne.
Domesticwhen did Steve Waugh play Shane Warne at home...
I'll check those stats later.Domestic
Yes found him harder to dominate compared to Warne. But as I explained with Lara and Kumble, it's not a weakness in the sense we use it. Murali himself said it's hard to get Tendulkar out.So his natural game does have issues with Murali?
I could be wrong because I am just basing it off clips I saw of Warne getting smacked.I'll check those stats later.
I guess if they are just blocking and not playing their natural game or even attempting to score a run then I'm not backing the spinners to break through the defenses of anyone here except maybe Waugh and Border.Yes found him harder to dominate compared to Warne. Tendulkar did have a problem attacking against the doosra that cost him his wicket throughout his career from Saqlain to Murali to Ajmal. But blocking I would back him.I guess if they are just blocking and not playing their natural game or even attempting to score a run then I'm not backing the spinners to break through the defenses of anyone here except maybe Waugh and Border.
