what's the point of a hypothetical of Murali vs Viv when we saw Murali cutting down Sachin's average post-98 very clearly, with Murali going as far as claiming Sachin has an issue with quality off spin.

Murali vs Sachin is why I said 0% at the first place.

That was just after the tennis elbow issue in 2005 where he was getting done by most guys tbh. After that it was only the first test in 2008 where Murali got him. And Sachin anyway wasn't the same player to spin after 2005 as he had been for the first 15 years of his career. Overall he definitely had the wood over Murali and I'd back pre 2005 Sachin over post doosra Murali

There's ofc no guarantee but I'd back that Sachin against any spinner, more so than Viv and others (barring Lara)

I'd not if two Cricketers have come forward and admitted that he struggled against bowling similar to Murali's, one of them being Murali himself.
