Wow, India could win in Oz again.
And then NZ will crush India in the Test Championship final at Lord's. Thanks Covid 19.
India won't beat Australia out here. Smith and Marnus will bat for three months each. Austrlaia will win in Brisbane inside four days, if there's a match played there. they'll smash India in a D/N test in Adelaide then bat for seven weeks in Melbourne. Magnificient.

What is actually happening in Australia? Is this tour definitely going ahead, still in doubt, any chance of spectators?
Almost certainly. Australia is getting roughly 70 new cases per day and most of them are in Victoria. NSW and QLD have a small amount of community transmission but SA, Tas and WA don't. So at least one venues should be available.

As for spectators, probably not many if any.

It just makes sense to continue on in the UAE since half the players will be there anyways.

Could also go to NZ as a neutral venue which would be more fair to the Australians.

Imagine spending extended periods of time in the UAE. What a nightmare. I know Australia is like 90% plus desert, but that joint is next level. Disneyland for adults in Dubai and literally **** all else.

Be good for me if there's two in Sydney. Hopefully they limit tickets to Members only and keep the heathen swine out.

Situation is pretty fluid though. Melbourne is hopeful of reopening in time for the annual Boxing Day Draw. If their levels of infection are low enough, the NSW border will be open so there won't be a drama going Melbourne-Sydney.

If that happens they could feasibly do Brisbane-Adelaide (getting the two strictest State borders other than WA out of the way) then with Australia 2-0 up inside four days of cricket, the tier one Aussie bowlers can have a rest for the Melbourne feather bed which will be a draw, and recharge at the Watsons Bay pub ahead of the 3-0 sealing win in Sydney
