Doesn't seem like you'll be making much. Since your ground is at the default size you won't make more than 30-40k in gate receipts once you're out of the cup (on average per week), so you're struggling to break even, let alone save up enough to buy a decent bowler. I think you'd be better off investing in the youth academy. I might be missing something obvious because it seems strange that you're not able to break even with such low expenses.
No subsidy in there?

That said with a average of what 2 days cricket at home a week he's hardly going to coin it in on a small ground.

Yeah, but the subsidy will be removed again next week I assume, so I can't see him making a profit of more than a few thousand. Even if he did get 60k for a FC match, that would only amount to a net profit of 30k or so - over 10-12 weeks = 300-360k, which will buy you pretty much nothing on the market at the moment.

Anyone remember some of the their scores before it was delayed?
I'm assuming your meaning FC game scores???

I was suprised to be 1/91 from 30overs against a team i was expecting to obliterate me... hopefully it wasn't a flash in the pan though, and that i may see a few suprises in FC games, otherwise things look pretty bleak for me this season :boxed:

Yeah my run-rate sat around 2.75 for most of the innings until a few fours in the last 2 overs before cancellation got it up to 3... in any case i don't think we'll see more than 300 scored in a day all that often unless the contest is extremely onesided.

Just bought this guy for £371k:

Ranjeet Bhutia (930112)
RH Batsman, RF Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
A steady player with respectable leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: Anchormen
Nationality: India
Age: 17 Years Old
Battrick Rating: 6,620
Wages: £1,127 p/w

Stamina: respectable Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: respectable Concentration: woeful
Bowling: mediocre Consistency: worthless
Fielding: worthless

Very pleased about his stamina - means I can wack him on 2 batting & 1 fielding instead of the usual 2 batting & 1 fitness.

The way I see it, resp stamina could be adding about £70, med bowling £150, so he is probably around +70-80% to prof.

I think if these 17yos were U19 WC ones, this guy could even be considered a prospect.

What do people think I should give him? 3 nets - 2 of them batting - what should the other go to: fitness or fielding?

Actually respectable secondaries add £80-150, med bowling £50-150. So they could only be about half way to proficient batting, but that would mean their stamina and bowling would be practically proficent and competent respectively.

Rob Appleyard - 17 yo, BT Rating=3,713
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, invigorated
A steady player with abysmal leadership skills and worthless experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: competent
Bowling: woeful Consistency: worthless
Fielding: worthless

Greg Ludlow - 17 yo, BT Rating=3,847
RH Batsman, RM Bowler, competent batting form, mediocre bowling form, lively
An attacking player with superb leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: worthless Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: abysmal

I Need to sell 1 of these guys for a bitta cash, and keep the other for training

Is Ludlow's Superb Leadership, and Mediocre Stamina, Concentration & Consitency worth more than Appleyard's Mediocre Stamina and Competant Concentration?? I'm leaning towards keeping Ludlow, but wouldn't mind a few more experience opinions...please :)
