Well ended up losing my match by five wickets, which was far better than I thought I'd do. Made 213/8, should've made a bit more but Cuss was runout for 35. They messed around with their batting lineup a bit which contributed to me getting five wickets, and when their best batsmen came in they knocked off the runs pretty easily. Pretty satisfied with the result given that I TIE'd though, and got some rather nice ratings. Cuss makes a hell of a difference:

Code:
	        [B]Asterix XI NorCricket United[/B]
Top Order: remarkable strong
Middle Order: respectable wonderful
Lower Order: woeful mediocre
Seam Bowling: strong superb
Spin Bowling: quality sensational
Fielding: mediocre respectable
Can't wait to see what I'll manage on a normal, not sure if I'm going to play next week on normal or not. The other good news was that I sold Bridge for a tick over 255k, which I was pretty happy with. He's very close to proficient batting though so he was probably worth close to that, but still, I didn't expect him to sell at the 250k reserve. If I manage to sell Pollock soon I'll have close to 1.5 million to splash out on a new player or two before next season; today's match has certainly made me more confident of being competitive when the first 'proper' season in the Premier league starts.

Won my match comfortably in the end. GFId it to see if I could raise my run rate. Particularly pleased with Weekes performance. He's my captain so nice to see him getting some bowling form.

What are the sizes of the grounds of you guys? I'm currently at 17000. I plan to upgrade though after my next home league match. Especially my standing and sitting sections. Those are usually sold out.

my ground holds 25,000. bank edged over 800,000 this week

i lost today by 9 wickets, turning my promotion procession into an absolute fracas. my opponent has 2 very good players, and i suspect that he may have GFIed also, meaning I'm probably going to have to play a qualifier now, thats if i am able to win my division. ffs, can't say i'm overly happy about this.

Will be interested to see my ratings in two weeks time when team morale is up to animated with sublime team fitness plus an extra batsmen which i hopefuly will purchase tonight.

Not sure if i want to go in to debt to get a good batsmen or still have 100k up the sleave for slightly worse batsmen

What do you guys reckon, keep or sell? He's a superb leader too, and my current captain has the same primaries (although better secondaries).

If you're near bankruptcy I'd sell him. Otherwise keep him. Also, do you have any spare nets?
I've got 127k in the bank, so I'm alright. I don't have that much net space, however. I'm training, or planning to train, the following players:
Code:
Gavin Canning - 17 yo, BT Rating=7,397
RH Batsman, RFM Bowler, proficient batting form, superb bowling form, changeable
An attacking player with woeful leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: mediocre Concentration: feeble
Bowling: respectable Consistency: mediocre
Fielding: woeful

Shaun Bunt - 17 yo, BT Rating=1,972
LH Batsman, LM Bowler, abysmal batting form, mediocre bowling form, changeable
A defensive player with woeful leadership skills and abysmal experience.
Stamina: woeful Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: worthless Concentration: worthless
Bowling: respectable Consistency: woeful
Fielding: worthless

Greg Griffin - 19 yo, BT Rating=13,182
RH Batsman, RF Bowler, superb batting form, strong bowling form, changeable
An attacking player with worthless leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: feeble
Batting: strong Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: respectable
Fielding: abysmal

Andrew Parr - 18 yo, BT Rating=11,763
LH Batsman, LFM Bowler, superb batting form, strong bowling form, changeable
A steady player with mediocre leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: mediocre Wicket Keeping: proficient
Batting: feeble Concentration: proficient
Bowling: abysmal Consistency: woeful
Fielding: abysmal
But if I were to get Jones's bowling up, he could play as a second allrounder with Canning so I'd have a very decent batting line-up. Currently, if I want to play two allrounders, I have to let Drench bowl:

Gary Drench - 19 yo, BT Rating=6,392
RH Batsman, RF Bowler, superb batting form, superb bowling form, changeable
A defensive player with superb leadership skills and woeful experience.
Stamina: feeble Wicket Keeping: worthless
Batting: competent Concentration: mediocre
Bowling: mediocre Consistency: competent
Fielding: woeful
