Yay! I got on using a link I found in this thread.

Argh at my game there.
I probably shouldn't have set my bowlers so attacking given the strength of Got Spin's batting. The two bowlers I set defensively took 1/54 (Giles) and 0/56 (Andrew). Given that they made the score with only one over remaining, it could easily have won me the game.

Strangely enough my ratings, except for top and lower order, were better than his...

Magical Ponies Got Spin
Top Order: competent respectable
Middle Order: competent mediocre
Lower Order: abysmal woeful
Seam Bowling: competent mediocre
Spin Bowling: competent useless
Fielding: mediocre feeble

Well thats the only reason i won, my batting is strong. My bowling is pathetic, and ur batting is competant so you put on 358. And chasing 358 in 49 isnt that bad :P

Just got the three pops - less than I expected. Armstrong now up to superb concentration and could well be elite in 3 seasons if I keep training them. I'll probably start giving him a second batting net so his batting skill is a bit more in line with his concentration.

Cuss' BTR went up to 21,888 (+1150) and should be popping to remarkable pretty soon. Malik should pop in batting in the next week or two as well, Badley hopefully popping in bowling again around the end of season. Team fitness went up a level also to cap off a fairly good training update.

just 2 pops in secondaries for me

Islam's consistency popped to strong and Bodkin's concentration popped aswell.

Islam's bowling should pop to respectable soon and hopefully his fielding should pop aswell. I'm expecting Magloire's stamina to pop.

Abdul Kadir's bowling should pop to mediocre soon as well, this is important as it means i can probably leave Wilmott out (comp bowl /feeble cons/abysmal st/worthless bat) and bring in another comp batsman although Wilmott does get points as he is a comp fielder - maybe i'll give him some stamina training and get him up to feeble or something(he's 20).

How old is Cuss?
Cuss is 20, I'm going to stop training him as soon as he hits remarkable. Going to get a 17yo proficient early next season and probably give him three batting nets, which will get him up to quality before he hits 18. Need another gun batsman to cover for Cuss when he goes on international tours and the like.

Wonder if there will be any elites in a few seasons, because isnt the youth academy capped at proficient, or is that changing. But if it stays at proficient, thats 12 pops needed to get to Elite

Probably will be some elites in a season or two. A 17yo can pop three times a season in primaries with only 3 coaches, so it would only take 4 or 5 seasons to get a 17yo proficient to elite. There are already a lot of players with secondaries that are near elite. I hope that the new youth academy will still be capped at proficient as I don't think there should be more than a handful of elite players around.

And you want Cuss to be really, really, really special :p
In a season or two he won't be that great. There are already a few remarkables around, some of them as young as 18, and lots of young quality/superb players. He'll still be damn good though. :)

Don't you just hate it when you pick someone out you want to bid on, then you forget and they go for practically nothing...

I'd picked out a 18yo WI spinner who was very close to respectable (their wage was £641), can't remember what their secondaries were but they were passable. So they ended up going for £21,000... grrr.

Scaly, can you fill us in on the various vage levels for various ratings?

ie; you say 641/w is close to respectable, what else?
