Just upgraded my academy 3 times to get to superb. Using max ITS to get a YP. Let's see how it goes.

Edit: Guh, not the best YP pull ever. How much do you reckon he'll fetch?

He is very high competent I would in your case get him to Respectable at least then decide if you want to sell?

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Actually, I wonder if I should sell Gleeson instead and then train this guy. Because I have two spinners already and my seamers are fairly dire...

Could be the difference between selling him for 20k and 100k IMO. You'll get a lot more cash once his up to resp. It should only take a couple of weeks to pop as well.
Good point (ditto Rodgie) so I'll chuck him onto one of Gleesons nets until he's up.

Exactly if you think smart you can take a net off someone for just 2 weeks(at most) which will make very little difference. You could get 40-50 k out of it if you factor in nets.

He'd probably sell for more a few hundred grand (possibl around 300k) if you got him to resp.
I wouldn't say that high as it is not early season now getting towards mid season when Greg will sell him. Which reduces the chances of getting to those lofty hights. 200-270 k is probably a bit closer to realism imo. Still a good investment though instead of selling him now.

You realise I just said pretty much that exact price range, don't you?

17yo resp/med/med for 300k isn't much of a stretch, even with a low wage.

Hmm you did play 3 spinners on their cloudy and humid green pitch. In Battrick I think even having 2 spinners is a bit too much (doesn't matter on some pitches obviously). As I've said before teams with five seamers look worse than they are, if one of the weaker seamers is a spinner they get another level of seam bowling.

I'm also suspicious of worthless form on botted teams, I've seen no evidence that it actually works like it's supposed to. For instance it looks to me that BTR is still at superb/superb form levels til the player gets sold on and the training updates take place again - someone else can probably confirm or disprove this (find a bot team with a player who was recent purchased). Summers for me was great in his first two games and has been fairly crap since when his BTR 'updated' to crapola.

I can certainly confirm that the BTR doesn't change when the form is set to worthless; a team just turned bot in my league and I noted their top players' BTR before the botting and after the form went worthless. No change. Between this and your experience with Summers, it seems pretty cut and dried that the "max" BTR is displayed for bot teams. Presumably to try and stop people chronically underestimating them.

First time ive ever seen an Elite that isnt Spin bowling, not including nat teams ofcourse. I assume its a GFI, but still awesome.

I hope you don't mean batting nets. :p

He's a fair gun pull though, has to be said. Why on earth are you wasting a net on Hinshelwood?
