Man, I don't care for Smith vs Viv, and was actually thinking of switching to Viv (mostly for fielding and slightly better to pace), but now I really really want Smith to win.

I actually announced it on, Sunday I think (was supposed to be on Wednesday, instead did Thursday). Just didn't thought of making a wholeass thread declaring so.
Yup exactly... Everyone who's regularly active and followed the country XIs knew quite a lot of time ago as well...
Also we have got good numbers in voting already... About 25+ voters each round so far... Which is much more than other such exercises

Sobers doesn't have to take wickets though, just make sure he bowls enough overs economically so others can be rested, and also he made a bunny out of Geoffrey Boycott who is one of the greatest technicians of all time, so clearly he can dismiss good bats too
Context as well.

Most of his bowling was in the dog overs of either spin, or pace with the old ball to defensive fields, getting over to the new ball.

His job here, come on 2nd change, swing it about a bit till Warne is ready, then (for my XI) split time with the old ball with Wasim opposite Warne to keep the openers fresh for the second cherry if needed.

I feel it was going to be close between these two duos anyways, any of them could have won. Them actually drawing was the slightly surprising part.

You are going to wait until 3rd change to bring in Warne?

No wonder you can't rate captaincy.
