All-Time World XIs: Discussion Thread

Bro Sanga kept Murali for around 2000 overs in International Cricket. That's a huge advantage here. Walcott has a similar drop off in average while keeping.
Look, Sanga is an ATG Test batter, but as a wicketkeeper-batter, he’s on a similar level to Walcott. Walcott batted in the middle order, which suits this XI better, and Sanga’s record outside No. 3 isn’t that great. Their keeping isn’t miles apart either because Walcott kept to Ramadhin and Valentine in stickies. So Walcott fits this XI more naturally. And why reduce Sanga’s output by making him keep and bat lower when he delivers elite performances at the top of the order? The best way to maximise his world-class batting is to play him as a specialist top-order batter in another XI.

Who would you vote for? Knott or Walcott ?

Wow so might've had 4 ARs in your original XI.
I wouldn't stick Kallis and Miller in this team together. I was just voting for the one that came up first in the voting order. I'm not sure what to make of of Hammond's batting, but if forced to pick, I'd have him in this team as a specialist. I wanted 4 ARs in the first team though.

I think given Sanga kept for more than thrice the matches and to Murali in all of them are some pretty hefty factors.
