Just watched a video on the 1959 Kanpur Test. His action looked a little dodgy in one of the clips, but looked okay in the next clip. Probably only a few of his variations were illegal. His stock ball may have been ok.

On a side note, apparently Alan Davidson bowled spin in that Test. Was there anything that guy couldn't do?
