5th Test (The Oval) - 31st July to 4th August

Dissector

International Debutant
Batting is looking easy right now. You have to wonder what a par score is on this pitch in these conditions against a good England lineup. 300? 325? OTOH some rain is forecast for tomorrow and that may help India with overcast conditions and play stoppages. And each of their pacers has found some form so it should be an interesting battle.

State Vice-Captain
Aside from Jaiswal, his innings in the Aus A game at the MCG on a very difficult pitch against a strong attack still stands out in my memory as the most impressed I was watching any Indian batsman in that whole tour.
He's a genuine batting option in the lower-middle order if Pant insists on keeping. Has a more complete game than many "specialist" batsmen we keep trying out.

Cricketer Of The Year
England under Baz and Ben now on track for three series played versus India and Australia and zero series wins.

But muh win percentage
If Eng lose this test, it'd be their fourth consecutive series against India that England wouldn't have won. Add in the four consecutive Ashes series they haven't won. It'd be in total - EIGHT series against India and Australia that England wouldn't have won. That'd be quite a winless streak against top two rivals.
