There's vanishingly few bowlers who are actually, physically capable of doing five Tests in a row without their output falling off a cliff, let alone in a series as compressed as this one
Yeah, he put everything in it that year and he had very little help in the pace department with McGrath injured. This feels more condensed as a series though than that one.

Be interesting to see who plays 4/5 in the Ashes.

Cummins is basically the only bowler, maybe in the world, who I'd hand on heart back to play 5 Tests in a row and still be good by the end.

Makes you wonder why they didn't have more green tops in this series, Bumrah or no Bumrah.

In 05, only the Old Trafford Test came within a week of the previous Test, the Hundred (and also the World Test Championship in odd numbered years) means that we can’t extend series any longer these days
