Gill will have a huge headache "managing" Hardik and Bumrah both.Hardik should be forced to play tests with a strict cap of 10 overs per innings or something. Would solve so many balance issues.

He says his body is not upto FC or test cricket. Dunno who will bell the cat there.Hardik should be forced to play tests with a strict cap of 10 overs per innings or something. Would solve so many balance issues.
Jaiswal seems to have mastered the play and miss so far. I was just wondering if the ball doing slightly less will become more dangerous in a few overs time.Woakes been unlucky not to pick one up so far, bowled some beauties, almost moving slightly too much. Need a breakthrough here
We've taken 20 wickets in each of the last two Tests tbfI have not agreed with the selection for a single Test match during the Gambhir era. It's neither here nor there. Am I crazy that you should start any selection with 'Which attack gives me the most chance to get 20 wickets?"
OK, well take them the quickest. We've taken 20 wickets in each of the last two Tests tbf
By that logic you pick 11 bowlersOK, well take them the quickest.
Not necessarily actually but since you are being pedantic for no reason:By that logic you pick 11 bowlers
I think they've done that tbf. Siraj, Bumrah and Sundar all bowled well last Test and they probably back the debutant, Jadeja and Thakur to chip in with enough jammy wickets to do the job. Whether or not we agree with them doesn't mean the intention isn't there. Not necessarily actually but since you are being pedantic for no reason:
A combination of 4-5 players who as a group are most likely to take all twenty opposition wickets while conceding the lowest amount of runs.
Does a team deserve to win if they insist on keeping out an ace like that? So much was written about MacGill's staggered career. Kuldeep's will be worse despite having the greater potential. Why is Kuldeep even in the touring squad if they saw no role for a full time spinner? It's been hot and pitches are dry and flat. If he doesn't play now then don't waste his time carrying him around. Utter nonsense. Should have picked Axar instead.
I don't like their selections either but we've lost many tests in the past where we have been anal about getting 20 wickets with no flexibility and completely sacrificed batting depth. The 2018 tour to SA being a prime example.I have not agreed with the selection for a single Test match during the Gambhir era. It's neither here nor there. Am I crazy that you should start any selection with 'Which attack gives me the most chance to get 20 wickets?"
He’s justifiably worried because of that awful back injury. But with a low workload I think it’s definitely manageable. He says his body is not upto FC or test cricket. Dunno who will bell the cat there.
I agree. I know Sundar did well, but if Australia can keep dropping Boland while he averages 16 in Tests, India can drop Sundar for balance. There is no reason whatsoever that India should have won only 2 Tests out of the last 12. I know it's back to back very tough tours, but that's not good enough. There needs to be a balance here and this team doesn't have it. I don't think Jadeja and Sundar are as good with the ball as Kuldeep and Sundar doesn't contribute enough with the bat to make up the difference.
It could be a case of looking a better option when unpicked. He averages 30 in first class matches in India and all matches he has played in tests are on spinning wickets except for the one innings vs Australia. If he was such an ace, the Indian management would have certainly played him.Does a team deserve to win if they insist on keeping out an ace like that?
