Bumrah's thing sounds more precautionary than anything else. The way they talk about it, it sounds like they have an eye on getting him fit for the England series as much as anything, which strikes me as sensible.

So basically the whole tour has been a waste of time because Indian players are incapable of conditioning themselves.

Can't wait for Brissy to go three days.

So all of a sudden beating England in India has become more important than potentially not losing a series in Australia for the 3rd time this century?

It's going to be really difficult to bust that top order open.

While it's true that India need Bumrah here more than they would in the home series, there could be concerns of aggravating the injury in to a long term one, which would, of course, not be worth it at all.

What if he breaks down mid-Test? It's all about balancing the risks.

If he is played, then he has to be used in short spells (not even short bursts as that may aggravate the injury)

Does everyone who has an issue with Pant being actually injured also have an issue with quicks going off for a shower and a massage after every spell?
Not personally, but mainly because they aren't allowed to bowl again for a set time after they've been off the park. Then again, I don't really have an issue with him being injured, only around anyone in that situation being ok to bat as high as he did after missing a whole day off the park.

Yeah I kinda misinterpreted your earlier post. He should be given rest if he isn't 100% even if it means he misses (early part of the) England series.

There is nothing left to prove for India in Aus.
But there is a WTC final place to be grabbed.

These tests count to the WTC as well don't they?

What was Bumrah's injury last year? Was it a side strain as well?
