You have to see the entire package. He can't bat can't field. One-dimensional players have to be extremely good in their one dimension to be considered for ODI cricket. Compared to Saif he is probably a -10 runs in batting, and -5 runs in bowling. 15 runs are a lot in a ODI match.

In comparison to Mehidy, Rubel is probably a -35.

Clearly they're expecting Rubel to be a reverse swing specialist over here for some reason. Everyone else has bowled but him

By no means do I even want to begin to suggest Rohit Sharma is not a great batsmen, but......

He's been poor at the start of nearly each innings, and got away with it, this tournament, not? And made the most of it!

-vs SA: dropped on 3rd ball for 1, went on to score 122*
-vs Aus: dropped on 3rd ball for 2, went on to score 57
-vs Pak: inside edge past the stumps on 3rd ball: went on to score 140
-vs WI: 18 runs
-vs Afg: 1 runs
-vs Eng: dropped on 4th ball for 4, went on to score 102
-vs Bang: dropped on 12th ball for 9, went on to a run-a-ball + fifty, and motoring along to smash Bangladesh out of the tournament, one feels.
