To say Burns is suspect against the short stuff would be a bit of an understatement. He's going to need a ****load more luck to get runs the rest of the series now that the Australians seem to have figured this out

This is how Test Cricket at the start of an innings should be. You just hope that on the odd occasion the openers will battle through it.

It's funny what that slight difference betweens the speeds of Archer and Cummins does. At Cummins's speed the short stuff is compelling but not concerning.

He’s pretty weak on off stump too. So not sure it makes that much difference whether they go short or line and length.

For the next Test for me. Root needs to go back to 4 and Denly's playing for his spot in this innings, if he fails then Northeast comes in. Not keen on making big changes at the top of the order but this lot look a ****ing shambles. Would also prefer Foakes to YJB but that's not going to happen.
