Krishna has to have one of the highest economy rates in tests. Everytime I've watched him bowl, he's consistently gone at 6-6.5 an over. Even in SA which suits his bowling style, he got absolutely hammered iirc

Yeah there were still some nerves at the start of that chase because of how dicey that pitch was. But I think the first five overs went for like 30 runs and the game was dead.

Kuldeep is also known for being pretty accurate and hard to whack too, most times I've seen him he's been pretty economical. It's why I'm wondering if there are personal issues going on between him and team management, it just seems utterly bizarre otherwise.

Anyway very big test of Gill's mental strength as a captain here. Objectively India are completely fine still but his head must be spinning.

This series will end the same way as England in India last year.

Even England had their moments in the India series but India won the key sessions. England are doing the same here but it's looking very one-sided while they're doing it though. This was a pretty humiliating session for us. Even Zimbabwe's bowling attack would have better control probably.

Gill looks pretty inexperienced at this level but ever since Gambhir took over, we've looked like a minnow in more than half the matches we've played. He's totally undone Kohli and Shastri's work and we could get worse.

We really need a new coach for tests.
