2nd Test (Edgbaston) - July 2nd

England clearly aren't going to drop Crawley despite meagre returns but the bowling needs some changes. Carse is probably the only one I'd be desperate to keep for the third test.

Be surprised if Carse is fit enough.

The Big problem in this test was, I think Akash Deep was greatly underestimated, Some of the shots by England were absolutely lazy. Another Issue being just how much time they spent in the field, the batsmen fielded for so long that naturally mentally they were not going to be at the top of the game and it showed with the early wickets, we have to at least try to have more spicy wickets than this garbage. I reckon we hit the jackpot with the type of pitches we had for West Indies and Sri Lanka in 2024, have to go back to that, can't field for 160 overs and then come back in last 20.

Woakes is our main bowler, and the wickets we have for him have not been good at all. He's a fair weather bowler, give him something greener, our bats would manage just like they managed last year and in New Zealand, Tongue needs to go, what a garbage bowler. Jofra, Woakes, Bashir, Carse if available, Stokes.

absolutely gutted and I was at edgbaston to make it worse and see the india fans go nuts

big changes needed. bazball still has got lots of questions to ask. seems like all chat and not enough results so far

still an upgrade from the Joe Root captaincy era mind

England got relaxed after seeing no bumrah on team sheet. Have to say this worst english attack since i started watching

I'd be seriously looking at bringing Bethell for the next test, drop Tongue, Bashir and bring in Potts/Archer. Need to take this seriously now

England have been a pretty average test side post Cook era tbh

The only crowning moment in Baz era was getting an unlikely result on a road in Pakistan but against the top sides, they've been found wanting.

I envision a Stokes-Baz double resignation after a 5-0 drubbing in Australia
