I considered him for my 10th pick. Was narrow between him and Stoinis for my #4 spot.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz

Considered having a better bowler, but #9 should really be able to at least hold his bat in today's times.

Not a bad little side. 6 bowlers, international centurions down to 8

Probably a few players whove had more success in tests (Mendis, Karunaratne, De Grandhomme), but 2 of those 3 had a pretty solid WC

Hetmyer and CDG can be promoted of course if the top 3 are batting too stodgy

I think my favourite aspect of this team is the three-pronged pace attack of Steyn, Amir & Wood. Plenty of #batdeep going on, & feel the batting lineup is flexible enough to be shuffled around depending on match situations.

International Captain
Avishka Fernando

Was weighing up between him and DdS but Jimmy just made the decision for me

1 Aaron Finch c
2 Jonny Bairstow+
3 Virat Kohli
4 Babar Azam
5 Kedar Jadhav (7)
6 Imad Wasim (6)
7 Dwaine Pretorius (4)
8 Shadab Khan (5)
9 Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1)
10 Kemar Roach (3)
11 Imran Tahir (2)

Having a great top 4 is vital in ODIs and I feel as though Arun, Jonny, Virat and Babar is sublime. They will need to face a large portion of the overs, although Jadhav and Imad can produce when situations suit.

On the bowling front, it makes sense to give Tahir the new pill with Bhuvi. Of course weve recently seen cricket in England, my team is designed more for the more common flat pitches where spin bowling is needed. Its why I went Shadab because 20 overs of him and Tahir will be tough to face. Ideally, id like a quick who could blast out the opposition but im happy to have the best spinner and the best batsman in my XI.

Your top 4 is probably the strongest in the comp Nufan. Not sold on your middle order. All batting one too high, though with your top 4 that might not be a big of a problem as it seems on the surface.

Would have looked to see a better new ball bowler than Tahir. Roach and Bhuvi could do the job. Still, it's a solid if not spectacular attack.

Not bad considering I was late to the party. Could probably do with a little more cake in the top order as the top 3 are all left handed dashers. Rest of the lineup is strong however. 6 solid bowling options with choices for every stage of the innings.

@Stephen. I dont think Tahir would bowl much up front, 2-3 overs. Id like him bowling in tandem with Shadab and Imad in the middle overs.

Marcuss, I like your teams upside and recent form.

I really like your middle order mr prez. It's sneaky, full of good players who aren't rated as highly as they should be yet.

Sunil Ambris looks like a solid, adaptable batting talent. But he's only played half a dozen ODIs.
