This is basically most test cricket in EnglandAny pitch that settles on the 3rd day was a lottery on the first two.

let them get through the first session without losing two many wickets firstI think India should target batting the whole day again ..really weaken their first choice bowling line up physically
Nitish Reddywe don't have a 4th seamer who can bat 7
It's very feasible. Jadeja and thakur are not nailed in selections in these conditions at all. I'd play kuldeep on flat decks for sure.Same problem Ashwin had. We need Jadeja for his batting and we don't have a 4th seamer who can bat 7, therefore he was always made to sit out for a mediocre quick even if he would be a better performer. Happening to Kuldeep now, and he doesn't even have the batting that Ashwin did to make selecting him feasible
Dropping Jadeja for NKR so that Kuldeep could play is a very bold move. Jadeja is basically first name on the list.Nitish Reddy
I thought we all agreed that India should never drop Jaddu? He might be past his prime but the guy has done enough to deserve an extended run before we call it time on his career. It's very feasible. Archer is injury prone, and only used for limited overs. Wood is 35 and several injuries have reduced him. Robinson is blacklisted for being military medium pace. Potts is injury prone as is Tongue(included here with no effect). Woakes looks well past it, hes 36, time to retire. Carse is their best bowler currently on form but hes still relatively new to Tests(only 5 tests- his FC Average is 31, perhaps he was overachieving in his first 5 tests and has come back to average)Are Wood, Atkinson, Archer, Ollie Robinson and Potts all injured?
Just wondering how low on the pecking order this group of seamers are.
This pitch looks like such a road that i'd probably ignore the batting Jadeja provides and trust the specialist batsmen to get runs. In most other conditions hed be an automatic selection but here it's more debatable imo.I thought we all agreed that India should never drop Jaddu? Carse and Woakes are in their first choice attack. Carse even won them a series in NZ recently. Are Wood, Atkinson, Archer, Ollie Robinson and Potts all injured?

I think there other reasons why Robinson has been blacklisted. And I suspect that those reasons may become less important over the next few weeks.Archer is injury prone, and only used for limited overs. Wood is 35 and several injuries have reduced him. Mainly he is too slow on the speed gun.I think there other reasons why Robinson has been blacklisted. And I suspect that those reasons may become less important over the next few weeks.
