As much as we talk about Williamson's cool temperament....he really doesn't live up to it much. WC 2015 Semis, final. First pink ball test, today....

Raina's bowling isn't just straight in the sense of no deviation; it's straight in the sense of being completely perpendicular to the crease lines. His release point ends up completely in line with where the ball pitches; he doesn't even get any angle or drift going. If teams ever actually prepared for Raina's bowling I'm convinced he'd get plastered.

Hang your head in shame, Kane.
EDIT: Oh beaten! Jono, WAG.
Should be played like a medium pacer, how they bashed up Kimble back in the day.

Silky voice? Allan Wilkins. Left arm trundler at county level. Has made a career speaking eloquently but without any content over the years for star sports.
Haha this is very true. Commentates on the tennis too.

Sweet gig tbh.

If the pitches are like this for most games, this isn't going to be a particularly fun tournament to watch.

This isn't the first match in the tournament. There has been a whole qualifying round and the pitches were fine.

Nz are just being epic **** here. Basing the tournament on this pile of poop from them is a bit harsh.

So what if the pitches aren't batter-friendly? Would be fun to see lower scoring games for a change.

Question needs to be asked. Should nz have had to qualify alongside Scotland? Answer seems obvious tbh

Agree with this. This is more of NZ playing poorly than the pitch
