11th Match - South Africa v England

On a serious note I think South Africa will be quietly confident if they give England a good spanking today

i've never seen England get bent over in an ICC tournament by SA, 50 or 20 over, can anyone else remember ???

Poms abject, Victoria losing and an 11 course degustation at Nel all on the same night. It doesn’t get any better

Sounds like a fair catch, that one.

So this is probably Buttler's final appearance in England's ODI side? Maybe Root's too?
I'd try to keep Root around until the next World Cup, sure he won't play much at all before then, but shockingly, the guy who is our best batter and who grew up playing 50 over cricket is one of the only players who can construct an innings of substance in the format

Don't think he is much liked in Cape town or Pretoria due to his woeful performances for mic & Pretoria capitals.
Ah, much the same as England fans then.
And I don't think he's highly regarded in Lancashire due to how rarely he deigns to make himself available.
Popular bloke, our Liam.

Used to happen quite regularly mid to late 90s and in the 2000s. 1996 , 1999 & 2007 CWCs come to mind. 2023 CWC too.
