Larwood (ranked =49th in the CW bowlers poll) and Spofforth (unranked) ahead of Adcock (32nd) and Bedser (33rd) seems strange. Willis, Philander, Bishop, Akhtar, Hall and Snow are also ranked higher than Larwood.

I find it interesting that pacers who barely made our 2024 bowlers poll are being nominated before someone with over 100 wickets @ 21.11 who was ranked #32 in that poll. Who? Neil Adcock

Surprised Younis Khan has avoided selection to date. Averaged 52.06 in 118 Tests with 34 centuries. Only weakness appears in WI.

Both Pant and Flower warrant nominations as MOBs at some stage. I'd prefer this to having them as WKs

I agree with Tayfield ahead of Gibbs in SA. In England I's opt for Laker but Gibbs is fine elsewhere.

Nourse was Test captain 15 times for a 1-9 win-loss record. Pollock's 26 Tests as captain yielded 14 wins and just 5 losses. These figures were the basis for my vote.

I don't mind Flower making a team as a batsman but, while quality keepers are available, he shouldn't be considered for the w/k position.
