    Ravichandran Ashwin vs Alec Bedser

Their test averages are only 0.94 apart. Similarly, they both average better on home tracks (21.56 and 21.44) Bedser held the world record for number of Test wickets taken despite not playing Tests until in his mid 20s due to WWII. Looking at their first class careers, Bedser is well ahead...

    Ravichandran Ashwin vs Alec Bedser

@Xix2565 If you are going to make racist posts to denigrate a particular player, you might at least try to substantiate your warped opinion with something that resembles a cricket based comment.

Barry Richards and Dennis Lillee vs Sunil Gavaskar and Fred Trueman

The interview with Fred Trueman posted by Johan on page 2 is interesting. He apparently didn't believe in bowling short to tail enders. In fact, at all levels in that era, there was an unwritten law that you didn't bowl short to fellow bowlers. Not to fellow quicks as you might get some of your...

    David Gower vs Graham Thorpe

Not as I recall. He did, however, have a reputation of being too casual. This was probably based on his seemingly effortless stroke play.

With 241 games left unused, my team must be the most inexperienced. Yashasvi Jaiswal Tom Latham (c) Jacob Bethell Craig Ervine (vc) Shreyas Iyer Kyle Mayers Alex Carey (w/k) Gus Atkinson Noman Ali Matthew Potts Scott Boland

    Current Test/FC draft

I'll do similar to Fuller Pilch. Neither JOJOXI nor ataraxia have sufficient game quotas to take my selection: Craig Ervine (25)

Aubrey Faulkner vs Shaun Pollock (Tests)

Jeff Thomson made a mockery of these speed tests by bowling full tosses so the pitch didn't slow his deliveries. He also won accuracy accolades by hitting the stumps with his 'fullies' while others in the test bowled regular deliveries, often deviating off the pitch. I witnessed those tests...

    Absurdly Awesome Cricket Stats

How many of those 16 have been on home soil? I ask as pace bowling (and catches behind) seem the major source of wickets in Australian home tests. Having said that, Healy was often the beneficiary of Warne magic.
