England should produce flat batting track for first test or two

A track that will produce a run feast and a certain draw - will definately boost the moral of the side by not going one down early on in the series IMO.

MCC raise concerns about McGrath's studs

Quote: Even more fuel might have been added to the ongoing debate regarding Australian cricketers using illegal equipment with the latest concerns expressed by the MCC. Close up images of Australian pace bowler Glenn McGrath's shoes have led to question marks being raised over the legality of...

    Next Indian Coach

Sir Viv would be a good move IMHO.

    Ganguly for next Indian coach

Come on, it is a perfectly reasonable proposition here. Fulham Football Club did it with Chris Coleman. An inspirational captain and leader for the team - could no longer play effectively on the pitch due to an injury he suffered from a car crash. What did Fulham do? They appointed him as their...

    Ganguly for next Indian coach

Since the guy can't seem to handle the playing side of things any more, how about appointing him to run the tactical side of things? Seems like it will provide perfect continuity after the departure of John Wright.

    Indian Cricket ... what next?

MONGIA needs to be shot and put to dead. This guy has been a pathetic failure every time he's been called upon.

    Indian Cricket ... what next?

    Next Indian Coach

Mate, Mugabe will get his Zanu PF homies and lay down the law.

    Indian Cricket ... what next?

Nehra is not a suitable one day cricket - cannot bat or field, and is way too loose with the ball. Replace with Agarkar or Pathan (when in form). Murali Kartik in for Amit Mishra. Yuvraj in for Gambhir.

    Next Indian Coach

He will also instill the right attitude into the Indians when facing opponents such as Australia and England. Lets see what the BCCI can do, being the richest cricket board in the world...perhaps can offer him a tempting package.

    Next Indian Coach

No, i think he would be the ideal candidate to coach this Indian team. He typifies the no nonsense approach required at present.

brilliant idea to solve india's woes

Not necessarily the entire U-19 squad, but a a senior side comprising of 19-23 year olds of potential with a view of blooding a young side for the 2007 world cup and beyond.

    Next Indian Coach

    Brown is close enough mate.

    More fans

Lack of Windies fans is due to the caribbeancricket.com messageboards, which seems to attract a lot of windies fans.

brilliant idea to solve india's woes

Try out the under 19 team in place of the senior side, whilst retaining key players Dravid, Tendulkar, and Dhoni. Everyone else is dispensible IMHO.

John Wright - The Report Card

And he leaves with the team in an equally shambolic state :S Sad IMHO, and beyond his control.

John Wright - The Report Card

Also, I feel it is impossible to attribute blame for some of these factors down to a coach when a coach has absolutely no say in squad selection at all in India.

John Wright - The Report Card

I think his tenure has been successful in test cricket - with a very formidable line-up created that is now a potent force home and away. In one day cricket - he seems to have failed to solve the 5th bowler problem which existed when he first took charge, also failed to recognize the need for a...

    Next Indian Coach

I call for Mugabe to be the new Indian coach. No nonsense approach, he'll get all the prima donna's out and the house in order in no time.

    Indian cricket an absolute shambles

Overhyped, overpaid, and totally disapointing really. Without an overseas series win EVER, without a home ODI series in win 5 years, and a squad that really is very average in terms of bowling and fielding ability. I don't see things improving for a long time to come.
